Nice little look up before picking his spot. Exactly the player and age we should be looking at, instead of in 3 yrs time after he’s gone to villa and we’re taking him on loan with no chance off buying him cos he’s now worth 15-20 mill.. It might work out,it might not but we have to try.

I must admit Lincoln are my local team and although i havent been this year ive seen parts of games and i have noticed him as a presence. He's normall only been a sub but when hes come on hes looked very capable and always wanting the ball.
I never really paid that much atention to him as i didnt really think we would be interested in him but he stood out as someone who i thought had lots of potential, tall, athletic and imposing himself, i didnt know he was on loan from Cov so i thought Lincoln had unearthed a decent talent, just like they had with Makama who Norwich only picked up for £1m and is a lad that although can look "lazy" scertainly knows where the goal is.
A great signing. Bags of potential.

Yea thats him.
Didn't get to start many early doors but obviously Norwich are struggling (not against us) and hes just been banging them in. Can tend to look like he's not interest in the argy bargy stuff but certainly knows where the goal is and scores from all angles in and out the box.
I did mention him in the summer thread and was a little disappointed we didnt go for him, albeit i was more than happy with Burrell & Kone as it turned out.
However he is very decent and will most likely go higher than the Championship.

So if either Dunne or Edwards get injured then we only have Cook to step in. Always thought Morrison was a decent player. Bit of a step down going to the SPL with Aberdeen.

He needs to play games. We're not going down. If his second half of the season looks like his first we've burned a year off somebody we're meant to be developing.
He also needs to prove he can play 20 games without getting injured. He's the softest Glaswegian centre back I've ever seen.

We have young central defenders including Smith who can sit on the bench as back ups: no good for Morrison or us for him to hardly play the rest of the season. Playing regularly for Aberdeen is better than playing in League One IMO (just).

If you move Mbengue to CB, you can play Morgan or Adamson at RB.
Morrison deserves his chance to compete for a world cup squad place.

Morrison has never really let us down. Just been unlucky that its currently one of our strongest areas on the pitch.
We may sell him and he could do well at this level elsewhere, but in fact think its decent of the club to loan him out, as fourth choice centre back and one more injury and he gets a run of games here.

I like him as he reads the game well and will get better. Will agree he needs to be a bit more robust so hopefully a heady mix of oil residue, gas fumes and minus 10 degree Celsius will galvanise him.
