Excellent chance for Kieran to nail down a starting role.
Honestly, I think the club might stick with what we've got in midfield now. Madsen, Vale and Chair, with Alemayehu in reserve gives us creative options. Kamara and Varane with Edwards or Cirkin as options for defensive players.

Many, myself included, saying we need more legs in CM even with what weāve got.
Morgan does a lot of hard yards, heās ours, weāre patient and forgiving in that respect and heās got some confidence on him.
He also fills in at right back and pops up with the odd goal.
Across a long old season Iām sure heād get 10 to 15 appearances minimum.
If this loan gets confirmed then I feel weāll need two bodies in midfield, central obviously, as I canāt see the others remaining all being the consistent answer to the industry weāll need in there. |  |

He hasnāt been near the first team so far this season.
And this despite some absences:
Varane has barely featured.
Madders has been in and out.
Kamara was not fully fit.
And still we didnāt call on him.
He would struggle to get on the bench most weeks.
If we kept him here it would be like Joe Walsh all over again last season: āhe should have been sent out on loan to get 30 games and develop on someone elseās time.ā
Think itās a great move: if he absolutely smashes it he comes back to our first team, and if not there is a former Spurs academy player with nearly 100 senior appearances, by then still only 21, who will be an asset we can surely sell. | | | |

Manager doesnāt rate him.
He was going to Luton in January until Norwich made an offer for Field and he asked to go. Luton came back this summer for him but we wouldnāt let him go until we got Kamara in. Bradford now is a good move for him, he needs to play every week, ideally alongside someone covered in barnacles to teach him the ropes. | | | |

Dunne has shown once again he's crucial to the team.
Winning headers, not just for the goal but for the defence, he is critical to the way we play and how we win.
We do need one more signing now, and that's a sub for Dunne, as we do not have one. Smith has been moved on, so we do have that slot in the squad.
Someone like Diogo Leite, who is available on a free, would be another outstanding signing, or the bottom of the barrel, such as Dominic Iorfa. |  |

Lloyd is three years older than Morgan and has had loans in L1 at Orient and Lincoln: it's now or never for him (probably never, with that touch: he'll have a good career a little lower down).

We've also signed a 19yo centre midfielder from Watford - Amar Sanghrajka.
I don't understand this signing as I thought if a player was not around the first team by 19/20 they would be sold. He was on loan at St Albans last season, not exactly a high standard for a 19yoo.

He played for Watford in the FA Youth up final and had been on the bench for them 3 times. So he was close to 1st team. Watford have disbanded their U21s and downgraded their Academy to Cat 3.

I'd rather he stayed - can see opportunities coming up with JCS's fitness history and Ronnie working out as a DM option when needed.
But I don't think he has Julie's full confidence, and has started to look a bit lacking in it himself at times. So would rather he's loaned out than lose him altogether - which I still think we'd regret.
But if Morrison goes you'd think we'd definitely need another CB in, for the reasons above.
We also ideally need another forward - that to me isn't quite fulfilling the two player competition concept - not if you're starting both Kone and Burrell in x number of games with only Alfie as backup. Probably a loan - some young PL pup.

I donāt think that CB generally is a cause for concern. Morrison has āplateauedā from a pretty low bar and is not really championship standard. Losing Dunne for a prolonged period would be a problem, but JCS not so much. It is only a matter of of time before Madsen and Kamara get fully up to speed and Edwards moves back. Ditto with Lamptey which frees up Mbengue for a CB berth. Also, Kemper can play there when he returns from fitness with Cirkin likely to establish himself as first choice LB.
I think - if my very suspect Maths are correct - moving Morrison out leaves us with a 25 man squad that looks pretty strong all over the park. | | | |

I'm guessing the thinking is with so many players having proven to be useful cover out of position (Dunne at RB, Mbengue at CB, Adamson & Lamptey at LB etc), we effectively have 8 defenders (if Morrisson leaves) and that should be enough, at least to see us through to January at which time we'll see where we are at. Well, we have 7 at the moment with Kemper out.
With Akindileni as cover in case things go badly wrong. And Esquerdina officially still here too.
I would also have liked to see Smith stay and be given some minutes, but it is what it is. He has not even featured in the matchday squad in the MLS yet, so not a positive start over there.
I like Morrisson and think he was good earlier for us, but can't see him get much game time if we manage reasonable levels of availibity this season. So sensible move for all involved. [Post edited 31 Aug 7:00]

That said: he has looked a lot more, dare I say it, calmer in the opening games.
For me, one of the greatest sights in football, is Mbengue going on one of his surging runs. It's disconcerting, and yet life affirming at the same time. I just love his lunacy. | |

There are some problems with the suggestion that "Rangers are considering a loan to AIK in Sweden".
The season in Sweden finishes in November & they have only 12 league games left. More importantly, according to Wiki, the mid season transfer window in Sweden closed on the 11th August.
