We looked excellent knocking it about 2nd half, very confident and composed, a different class to Portsmouth.
Entire back line excellent; Mbengue MoM and Admason in a pressure situation stepped up.
Not sure I want to repeat the experiment with the starting midfield, lacked bite and Vale doesn’t do enough of the ugly stuff. But Kamara looked so assured and he, Varane and Smyth made a big difference.
Saito jumping about at the end so doesn’t look serious.

I agree. I wasn't expecting much when he came on but played very well and given he has only around appearances for QPR he has played as a rb, rw and now lb. He might not be as some on here think he is.
I agree with Stainrod about the starting midfield. That was totally wrong given Varane, Kamara and Alemayehu were all on the bench.
Vale is too slow, not strong enough and lacks height. A cm he isn't.
Overall, well done QPR for the 3 points, but way to early to talk about how they will fare this season.

Feared the worst, expected even worse than the worst after 25 minutes but despite being a bit too open there was a lot to like once we’d equalised. Most of the subs improved the team when needed, Dunne very solid, Charles good with crosses, Poku finally showing a bit of what he’s about. Not perfect by any means and on another day we’re being booed off at half time on the way to a timid defeat but let’s celebrate the good times and the luck when things do go our way.
Most of all pleased we stood up to them second half. The only way they were getting something was making it a fight and we had fight. | | | |
