I wonder...just wonder...in this day and age of American owners trying to ruin everything in football that some big club gets relegated from the Premiership then tries to appeal a late rule change that a sizeable "heritage" club should not get relegated for the good of the product.
A bit like how when River Plate looked in danger of getting relegated from the Argentine top flight years ago they rigged the rules so relegation was decided on average points over X amount of seasons so when a big club inevitably had a crap season they were OK because the other good ones evened it out.
I mean...I could see someone trying it on, why not Spurs?
(It will be hilarious to have them in this league, even if they do blitz everyone, which I'm not necessarily convinced they would).
Spurs in the Championship? Would be very funny during the summer and not so funny during the actual season, when they would be like Newcastle, slaughter us home and away, rack up 100 points and a grillion goals and their fans treat it like a glorified tour where you are privileged to be on the same park.
I think on balance I would rather it was West Ham as they are much more likely to make a total balls of it.
While they have always been 'Spursy', you look at them yesterday and wonder whether it's their lack of British players. They seem like a team assembled on paper, with players who will be straight out of there to other big clubs if they go down. They need a Steve Perryman-type marshaling things - the second Forest goal is the kind of goal relegated teams concede. Guy just strolls into the box unmarked waiting for the pass.

Understand and agree, however, you’re making a placard ((c) every Chelsea fan) that you want to draw attention to yourself over so at least double check any spelling etc, it’s really not that difficult.
Unless they did it on purpose as that’s how social media works these days…. do everything wrong, do/say everything bad etc. because it draws more attention than something right or good, that’s sooooo boring these days.
I live by the Spurs stadium and yesterday made the mistake of going to check out a new coffee place a couple hours before kick off, only to discover like 5k Spurs fans had turned up early to welcome the bus.
It was actually an incredible atmosphere, pyro, even I felt excited.
Then they turned in an absolute turd burger and lost 3-0. Who'd be a fan eh?

I would have thought that Tottenham would be close to second in the list of clubs that players have both played for. The Pensioners being first.
When they were last relegated,they finished third and came straight back up. At present,they have relegation written all over them, if they stick with current manager. If they go down, it would be a must return in the first season, otherwise they face a financial crisis. No PL, European or TV money. Yes, parachute payment, but given the financial leaverage the club must have to pay for that stadium,Championship match day prices won’t pay their huge bills. They look absolutely shot and their better players don’t give a shit as they’ll be off the minute they are relegated.
Much as I'd love them to go down, they do still have some winnable matches, though obviously having not won in the league this year, that may be ascribing to them a level of confidence they don't deserve.
It's going to be interesting whether they stick or twist with Tudor over the international break. Would they really get 'Arry in with his dodgy knees and all? Is Niko still fit enough to pull his boots on again?

I was going through this with my West Ham supporting work partner a little while ago.
Looking at the set of fixtures left you'd choose the one's Spuds have over everyone elses. The games after Easter are the one's to look at for more short term hilarity though. West Ham play at home to Wolves on the Friday night - win that and Spuds drop into the bottom three and must stay there for a while before the travel up to play the Mackems on the Sunday...... if they lose that then it's on big time. Unfortunately I can see Spuds winning more games than West Ham in the next seven and they are at home to Everton last game of the season which I have down as the ultimate gimme.

My father in law and his entire family are all die hard yids (my wife also unfortunately). All walking distance to the ground. He died about 15 years ago but we were just laughing the other day that he might actually come back from the dead from being so furious at them nearly going down right now.
Spurs V Everton and Spam v Leeds for final day. Gotta figure Spurs will stay up with Everton and Leeds with nothing to play for. Spurs 2 points up. Only need a draw if Spam get 3 points.
