I fell into that samr trap terryb after their over Ghana and the way Diaz was playing but yesterday they were nowhere near that level.Its something I have noticed in this WC some players are incredible in 1 game and invisible next game must be schedule/weather/scouting etc.
Also how many defenders have missed PKs so far before Akanji blasted his kick into the atmosphere the commentator said he missed his last one for Switerzland and missed some big ones for City also if memory serves me .
Hard to see Switerzland taking out Argentina after their last 2 "escapes " but England will if they take out Haaland. |  | | |

Not enough that Argentina has the easiest run to the semis of all time, also getting every possible bit of extra help from the officials.
Nothing to do with the fact that huge amounts of people will travel from Argentina to every game venue and the revenue bonanza that comes with that. And of course the Messi factor.
Anyone think Argentina wouldn't have got the pen denied to Kane v DR Congo or that they would have had the one given to Mexico awarded against them? No, me neither.

FWiW...hundreds of thousands of most nationalities live in the US. In my town alone, I know / am aware, of seven Argie's. Sure fans travel but there are plenty here already and I bet you could sell out most of those venues without sending a ticket overseas. | |

I think they've been overly tactical and cagey. One or two breaks showed what they can do but they've been more disciplined and defensively set than suits their game.
That penalty looked well suspect in terms of referee tampering but I'd still rather see Morocco win, makes things more interesting. Saibari is a massive loss. |  | | |
