I almost daren’t ask but has anyone got any idea as to why WLS haven’t posted any QPR related news in nearly three weeks? They didn’t cover the Kamara signing at all. All rather odd!

When i said James Paterson was on it recently. Recently to me is two or three months ago. Anyhow, hope they start doing them again soon.
The podcast i miss the most is Open All R's with Paul Finney leading and Clive was often a regular. Hope Paul is ok, as know he had some serious health issues.
That pod helped me get through lockdown with a lit of QPR content when there was no games to attend.

He is good and the pod is going strong. I also help him with a QPR WhatsApp group set up for those suffering from or affected by cancer (and afflicted by QPR) and it is very active- if anyone is interested DM me.

Perhaps that has affected WLS output. Always get the impression some like sticking the boot in to anyone they think has privileged access and Dave Mc (who I don't personally know) gets a lot of that.

Not sure that’s true. I think most qpr fans really appreciate those that do the podcasts, forums, match reports (Clive), etc.

IF (big if) WLS has fallen out with the club, you think they're refusing to report on the club because what? refusing to give publicity? To one of the top 45 football clubs in the country?
Let's say for a second that's true- what do QPR lose exactly from not being written about by (and I mean this with the greatest of respect) West London Sport?
Man (DaveMc) / people (WLS staff) go on holiday, write less about the club than usual is much more likely the explanation here. It doesn't take a genius to realise that with the amount of sh1tty ads on WLS it isn't exactly printing money. Staff will need to be paid for everything they write, typically.
Also WLS's readership is overwhelmingly QPR fans so they really would be shooting themselves in the foot by refusing to report on the club.

(also, all silliness aside, the away days in particuar are a great listen, Jaz does amazing work capturing the feel of an awayday, they've been a great addition in the last year or so...)

I also sub to The Athletic in a similar vein, because I prefer the business model of paying for good quality journalism over click-bait crap that is funded by, and there tailored towards, advertising revenues.

My mate got me a subscription to the Patreon for Xmas and the podcasts have been very worth it! Away days is especially good and give me a taste of what I've been missing since moving abroad.

Good to watch a conspiracy theory perish before your eyes. I don't think they're sulking and on QPR strike.
Very good stuff from Dave Mc here. Big season for Vale, agree. Also, has made me think about CB a bit more and I agree that if anything happens to Dunne we will be in trouble as he's so important in both boxes - but mostly ours. Who wins defensive headers without him? We talk a lot about what defenders can do with the ball, but Dave's right that there's long been a problem keeping players from running at them. Hopefully we can fix. Could possibly do with another dominant CB.
Appears to also suggest Kolli will go and De Keersmaecker will be signed, partly to salve fan angst. We could definitely do with a CM like him.

I like the WLS on YouTube with Gallen as well. I haven't subscribed to that as I'm worried I'll be bombarded with articles about the other local teams and I don't want that.

The match reports and previews are with the subscription fee alone. The comedy value being of the highest order. It passes the six belly laughs a column a bit like Mark kermodes movie limit.

There seems to be more and more people giving podcasts a go. If ever we got to the premier league, it could explode in terms of numbers.
I have paid for the patreon for a few years now, and to also pay the extra for Dave Thomas's "A kick up the R'6s" online content. I pay for patreon because basically am allowed to post my nonsense on here - as is like with a few on here, post too often sometimes, but there is in general alot of interesting and healthy debate. Its interesting balance of different fans on here and on occasions its good to debate other sports or stuff as long as it does not get too controversial - all good.
I pay extra for the "Kick up the R's" even though i dont always read it all, as Dave Thomas has given extraordinary service in chatting over all things QPR and obviously often is outside before the games end in pursuit of his trade for three or four decades - Wow. Thats a fan.
I think both deserve the extra funds even if minimal for the time they give to all of these endeavours.
However, it can feed the obsession at times, but its all good and yes occasionally it gets a bit tense as is life and as is life following one of the madder clubs in London. Unfortunately, in workplace canteens up and down the country, the awfully crass sign with the wording "You dont have to be mad to work here, but it helps", probably very apt in words to describe the hobby of supporting this bonkers football club !!
