Shame he’s gone as he would have got Everton relegated.
Had a soft spot for Everton. 85/86 they won the league at Goodson against us and acknowledged our away support during the lap of honor at the end, especially Peter Reid.
Now, not so much.

I must confess I thought we were people's second team in the days of Marsh and Bowles. Once they were gone and we introduced the plastic pitch at the start of the 80's we were no longer seen in a good light.
Personally I think we were out of favour long before Tango and Cash arrived. Whatever we think of that duo they had the right idea about ambition to get this club out of it's malaise and to compete. As Rodney Marsh once said there is little point existing if you don't try to win anything and we have just tossed away cup ties season after season. Now we are just existing on slops and I personally find it sickening to watch.
Anyway this has nothing to do with Lampard but you have reminded me of the season Peter Reid and Ray Wilkins came to the club and lifted the team during the Trevor Francis and Don Howe periods. |  | | |

If he was serious about actually wanting to be a really good manager then he’d go and learn his trade lower down the League pyramid. That’s what pretty much every single successful manager does.
Some big name ex pros like Lumplard think they can just go in at Championship / Premier League level because they’re too arrogant to believe they might actually need to get good at their job first.
Lampard is part of the Redknapp clan so he knows just like that cünt Arry did that if you just take a few journos out for lunch & pay for it you’ll get positive coverage no matter how many clubs you fail at.

I have a few relatives in the Ilford area.
Many years ago after Frank Lampard Senior had retired from football but before his son was well-known my cousin told me this story about Lampard Senior.....
Apparently he used to go for a run every morning and he would stop in the same place every morning and do an alfresco shıt.
I have no idea if there is any truth in this. It seems unlikely but that hasn't stopped me from repeating this story as fact whenever I get the chance to do so. | | | |
