I didn’t say they had anything to do with the goal .
In principle you are right .
But most people, not you perhaps , realise that results are secondary to the people controlling the club at the moment .
So I’m all for youngsters getting playing time.
But because of things like an unbalanced squad and an awol fitness and conditioning department , for example , there is never really an ideal time to blood them .
On the face of it , today is as good as any , but you spend £100-£200 on going today then you are owed more than ‘blooding youngsters’, especially against a far superior side .
It’s damaging to them .
On a side note , not sure throwing young Scarlett into that obvious pitch invasion is really ideal or necessary. God knows what’s being said to him and what’s happening to him.
Rather than giving youngsters minutes, it’s irresponsible.

Agree with your first point about Alemayehu but Kone has been really good recently at holding up, shielding and laying off the ball. [Post edited 2 May 15:13]

I’m not saying it will be any different. Last 3 seasons (including this one), we’ve finished with 56 points, 56 points, and 58 points.
What I mean is, you can’t spend £25m over two seasons, make no big sales, see no progress on the points total, and tell us things are progressing. Next season, we need to be competing for the play offs, or making some big sales which enable us to invest in several very good players for this level so we are definitely in the play off hunt the year after and secure on PSR. If that doesn’t happen, there has to be accountability and people must be exited. |

So a few thoughts
Nothing new here to see today, same old faults same old issues. Lost the game in the first 10 minutes Varane having an awful game Morgan looking a little lost, Poor at right back, and the first goal JCS should be nowhere near that as that has to be keepers ball 2nd one Chair loses it but there is still a lot for them to do and all far to easy and we have to do better. Once we settled we got into the game but final ball letting it down again not causing much threat, and when we do get a chance.
Things I really dont want to see again.
Joe Walsh - Sorry, he's had the full season not taken the chance not good enough shot stopping, not good enough distribution, can't go another season with him, dont think there's much money in developing keeps anyway
Jonathan Varane - Personally I'm done with him, you could see the player he might be, but its does not look to be happening to me, if we can get that St Ettiene money, then take it, one of the biggest disappointments of the season
Mbengue First choice Right back - Not for me not good enough defending not good enough going forward
Madsen as a 10 - No and No we saw that last year and in this league does not work can't play back to goal
Bennie on his own upfront - In. a two yes, wide in a three yes, 5th choice number 9 how do we get to this point .

I predicted a win until I saw what team they were putting out.
I'd just like to remind Nourry that there are 46 games in a season, not 42. You play every single game as if you want to win it. Not reward the kids with minutes in a game that gives them no confidence.
It's all too comfortable. Season in, season out we float around either avoiding relegation and with far too little ambition. Yes, we have been knackered by injuries but not having a single recognised striker on the final game of the season is disgraceful.
None of this is fair on the fans, particularly the ones that pay to travel to watch them, and particularly today.
If Bould is not shown the door in the pre-season there will be more of this appalling inability to defend and if Stephan doesn't put his foot down and have the so called fitness staff replaced and doesn't get the experienced players this team so obviously needs, then we will be creche for kids and we'll be struggling in the lower reaches of this division forever. |  |

Yeah, we’re par, I’d estimate too. And the question you ask is the correct one. In the last 5 years or so, the likes of Luton, Millwall, Coventry, Hull, and others on similar wage budgets to ours, have found answers to it.
We must stop giving ourselves excuses. The only period where a genuine excuse existed was in the first 3-4 seasons after the relegation season when we received that whipping fine and Hoos/Ferdinand had to cut the wage bill from £70m to £17m, whilst not dropping through the league. Since then, we’ve finished on par or below our wage bill/transfer spend, with the possible exception of the Ainsworth/Cifuentes season when our wage bill was very low and transfer spend non-existent.
The last two seasons, we’ve spent more than at any other point in that last decade and we’ve increased the wage bill more so than any other season (possibly bar the Warburton gamble season). We should demand better. |  | | |

i can't believe some thought we'd win this, we all have our views and want to be positive but again we conceded within 3 mins, 3 out of 4 games, our goalie situation is dire our defence is worse , ipswich are very good this year and had momentum, at 2-0 we suddenly started and had them anxious for a while, if we had scored? but we didn't we gifted the 3rd and that was that.
now IF MBENGUE HAD NOTA GOT SENT OFF V WRECKSAM ?? who knows
if we had a better physion/fitness coach, who knows
if chair was seen at last half the seaon, who knows etc but we are safe mid table, never went near drop area and crowds are building .
