Still. Nice of them to let us know, isn't it?

It's a better idea than letting everybody turn up on Sunday and at 1.15pm it turns out that NONE of the above are playing. Imagine the reaction then. Set expectations...

Don’t complain. Just be thankful for being graced with an injury update.

New QPR serfdom.

Only a single mention of Ben Williams thus far. How much blame should he shoulder for the four players lost in one game. As Danny P highlights, some players have been flogged to death. Others have hardly got going due to ongoing fitness issues.

Is our performance expert worth his salt?

Handsome Ronny incoming. He can play anywhere.
Morgan ended up as a striker last week.
Field is versatile.
We’re going to need them all if this injury list is anything to go by.

I guess all teams have injuries part and parcel of the game. Big chance now for the squad players who have been waiting patiently in the wings.

Hayden
Kolli
Morrison
Morgan
Field
Frey
Beanie
Smyth

All will now get more opportunities.......Big chance to shine

Injuries happen and you can get unlucky for sure. But feels like we've contributed to this ourselves with a shocking pitch and mismanagement of Christmas which meant we couldn't rotate in our 'easiest' game of the season.
If you want to be negative then Burrell missing 10-15 games until March and Poku missing 5-10 is really really bad news.
If you want to be positive then Ilias Chair should be back in 3 or so games along with JCS.

I don't think the sky is falling in as we have cover for Varane, Morrison, Poku and JCS. But I'm also worried that we don't really have anyone who can do what Burrell can do and will be asking a lot of Kolli and Bennie.

I'd still be focusing on a 'passing' midfielder to ease the burden on Madsen who will end up going the same way if we aren't careful.

These injuries are a great vexation to me. Would have loved to See Burrel get a chance to flex those muscular upper case quads on the open lush expanse of sod at the London stadium .

Credit to the club to keep us informed of the latest injuries.

The club are also aware im' sure, of the 9000 romantic fools, me included, attending Sundays game.

I assume that the timing and clarity of the injury news announcement it is to stop fans speculating about how seriously we are taking This FA cup game when we see the line up on Sunday, shorn of the players mentioned and bolstered with unfamiliar faces.

Fair play. Onwards and upwards to total victory on Sunday in their shiny new plastic mothercare shitpot.

Oh they have timed it perfectly so that they can select a team half of them from the senior squad with the rest from the development squad.

My guess is;

Walsh/Nardi
Adamson, Smith, Akindineli, Esquerdinha
Morgan, Hayden, Field
Dembele, Bennie, Vale.

Subs from Walsh, Nardi, Salamon, Putman, McCann, Tuck, Aoraha, Kolli, Saito Smyth,

If they were to put that out (I don't think they will) I want nobody coming on here telling people we're not allowed to be upset about it.

Yes the club is now giving injury information now, but I think they can be very economical with the truth, ie Chair was said to be back in December, now he is only likely to return to training later this month, and the type of injuries are often not one hundred percent accurate either.

I can't see any real reason why not completely opening up to the full realities of some players injuries - ie it doesn't need covering for any competitive advantage for me. Not much point highlighting cases if they not giving the correct information really. Weird.

It was extremely unlucky to get four injuries in one game, but fortunately, our much improved squad depth, we will be able to assess where by we can see if our squad players are as decent as we believe them to be.

And I know some have criticised people moaning about the pitch, but really it's in a horrendous state for a championship club of our resources and the agricultural staff should be concerned about their positions right now. Not sure why any would disagree with this , tbh.

A mate of mine lives in a very small village and their football pitch is pretty pristine and its basically good old Bill on his sit down mower. Yet our pitch maintenance team, if you can blame them for this atrocity, seriously get some of these wages off the club payroll and replace with turf technicians with a great track record please.

If the club could comment about the state of the pitch and why its happened and what can be done to improve this as soon as possible, it would be nice to know what the plan was going forwards.

Agreed. I would be bloody furious if that team was put out on Sunday, but hopefully they will not, otherwise both sets of fans might be raging at the owners / CEO on the day.

Phased ramp up.

Fewer injuries in the second half of the season with this approach.

Calling Burrell’s injury a “contact injury” is a bit much, isn’t it? He stretched for a diving header. I contact at all. Was down holding his hammy, walked off holding his hammy, and the commentators called it as a hammy. But no, a contact injury. Some contact injury to be out for 2-3 months (without it being a fracture) too. Can’t recall many of those. And remarkable how a hamstring tear is c. 2-3 months. Coincidence, I’m sure.

Another hamstring injury for Poku. 2 this season already. 3 (or maybe even 4) in the last 12-18 months, I believe. Bit concerning.

Does anyone know what JCS and Chair are rehabilitating from?

I think the Club said JCS had got his ankle badly kicked. Chair pulled up after delivering a cross holding his leg, like it was his hamstring but don't remember the Club providing any info on that.

The rest may well be not far off (although I never want to see Dembele again in a QPR shirt).

I’m confused … are we blaming the pitch or Ben Williams this week for the injuries? Just wanna get on board with the currant perceived wisdom. Thanks.

Everyone was moaning about not having an injury update, now they’ve got one and it’s given them another opportunity to moan like drains. As someone recently said on this forum, ‘Misery loves company’.

How would you evaluate this latest round of injuries then Beckenham?

Even though we all saw it, they're calling Burrell a 'contact injury' because the much more preventable issue of doing a hamstring after being flogged for months would look bad for bicycle Ben and his performance army.

I stayed at home on Sunday and the moment he went down holding his hammy my first thought was contact hammy, due to the period of play (not opening up etc). The last time we had one of those it didn't end well. He had to have surgery followed by lots of false starts and never really recovering. The player now reside in Cardiff last time I checked and pre injury was better than any attacking player we have at the club now. Burrell gets a knee to the thigh in the same way Willock did at Forset that night. 'Being monitored' likely means they don't want to rush into surgery. With a tear he'll likely be susceptible to the same injury ongoing, surgery or not - but surgery would be disastrous for the lad. Fingers crossed for him

Set gobs to 'bummed'. Again.

I mean, I get that we can't have nice things and all that, but seriously: who exactly have we pissed off? It's got to be the fcuking Sith or something. Either that or some Lovecraftian eldritch horror that rises to destroy the minds and bodies of anyone in hoops.

I blame whoever signs off on our away kits.

I think it's a fairly reserved reaction to a pretty appalling situation.

Innit. People have had reservations with our fitness regime all season. I don't think it's outlandish for us to ask questions or raise eyebrows when a load of our players suffer a similar muscle injury.

I noted at the end of the window, our fittest & sharpest players seemed to be those who hadn't pre seasoned with us (Kone, Burrell, Saito). Interesting they're now injured or looking sluggish
