Surprised to see London Calling and Sandinista cited as I've always thought both those albums would be a lot better with a condensed tracklist. It's The Clash for me, all killer no filler.
Ramones is a tough one, could have been the UK version of Leave Home (includes Babysitter instead of the duff Carbona Not Glue) or indeed Rocket to Russia or Road to Ruin. Similarly for Ezra Collective, could have been any of their three but they went up a level with the third. |  |

This is tricky. Almost every album has some sort of filler track on it. These aren't my top three albums, but they the three that are solid throughout.
1 - Doolittle by Pixies. Aside from Kim's perfect basslines and Frank's excellent vocal performance, you get a ton of variation. They never came close to matching this one.
2 - Head on the Door by The Cure. Not just a great album but a really varied one with the band at their best. You could also have Kiss Me and Wish if you wanted. Although, Disintegration has lemons on it.
3 - Love by The Cult. Them before they became utterly worthless. Indeed, you can see them transitioning into US cock rock on this one but they still had that goth/country edge and the songs were solid.
You could also have Relationship of Command (At The Drive-in), Extremities (Killing Joke - although Revelations is my fave album by them/anyone but it's got at least one lemon on it). |  |

Interesting to see Blood On The Tracks mentioned. It’s one of my favourite Bob Dylan albums but I have always thought Buckets Of Rain doesn’t really fit on it & the album would be better if it wasn’t there.
My eldest and I are going to see a gig today in Liverpool, 60th anniversary of Blonde On Blonde so I’d choose that one.
I’m an Elvis Costello fanatic & I notice King Of America has already been mentioned. I’m not that keen on Eisenhower Blues or Loveable on that album, so I’m going to suggest Blood & Chocolate, Painted From Memory, Imperial Bedroom, This Years Model or Trust instead. |
