Joel Ward from Palace seems an odd release unless he turned down an offer. 28, versatile and dependable.

Transfer window general thread on 14:18 - Jun 9 with 5117 views | WadR | Liam Rosenior? 34 in July but we need cover for Furlong and Bidwell and he can play both sides. Adds experience and always come across as an intelligent and professional player. Thought Tsaroulla was impressive for Spurs U18s versus us in the Youth Cup game in January 2017 at left back. Wouldn't be ready for first team football and I know we have Hamalainen and Willaims at U23s but wonder if we'll see him on trial here this summer.

Not a bad shout as long as he doesn't mind playing for about £30 a week.

I'm struggling to believe that, he has been linked with Everton, Liverpool etc for £4-6m for the last year or so, to see him end up with Brentford is a surprise & makes me wonder how much they paid. It could be a good move for him though, get regular football at a higher level before making another step up for regular football in the prem in a year or two.

The rumour is £2.5m-£3m but who knows if true and how much up front. Certainly out of our price range anyway. By the sounds of it the big clubs have long been keeping an eye on Konsa since youth days but he rarely excelled consistently at Charlton. So a fair bit of polishing up still to do. Another very promising young defender that we might have taken an interest in - Jordan Storey gone from Exeter to Preston for under a million.

Really surprised Connor Goldson's ended up going to Rangers - I know he's had the heart scare but he was much better than that level before.

Controversial, skilful Moroccan, though born in Shepherds Bush. What's not to like :>) [Post edited 13 Jun 2018 20:59]

Transfer window general thread on 11:49 - Jun 14 with 4027 views | Ashdown_Ranger | The72 is reporting a Sun article that we're about to sign Preston defender Paul Huntington: ------------------------------------------------------------------ "QPR boss Steve McClaren is set to launch a £1million bid for experienced Preston North End defender Paul Huntington, according to The Sun. Steve McClaren has targeted the 30-year-old a defender as he targets a promotion bid in the Championship next season. Although, Huntington has a year left on his contract at Deepdale and the QPR boss is poised to land him on a cut-price deal. It’s fair to say that Huntington is a fan favourite at Preston North End, he joined the club in 2012 but it was later on that he made a name for himself at Deepdale. After a tough start to the 2014/15 campaign, the defender worked hard to return to the starting Xl and the work paid off as he became a regular in the promotion winning side and scored at Wembley as North End secured promotion to the Championship. Huntington went on to be an important part of the defensive unit throughout the 2015/16 season, making 41 appearances in all competitions as PNE secured 11th place in the Championship. He followed this up in the 2016/17 and 2017/18 season as well, he proved to be a vital part in the defence for the Lilywhites as last season he started in 44 as Preston launched a surprise play-off challenge. He was a key man for Alex Neil as the North End boss’ side finished just two points off the top six. This deal could be another blow for Preston after Greg Cunningham left for newly-promoted Cardiff this week. But Alex Neil has maybe already found his replace in Preston’s defence with the signing of Exeter City’s centre half Jordan Storey. The 20-year-old defender has agreed a four-year deal at Deepdale, joining for an undisclosed fee. The Yeovil-born player came through the ranks at St James’ Park, breaking into the first team squad earlier this year and retaining his place as the Grecians reached the Play-Off Final at Wembley." ------------------------------------------------------------------

If true, that sounds like an excellent POTENTIAL signing

Transfer window general thread on 13:27 - Jun 14 with 3840 views | bosh67 | Paul Huntington was the best CB I saw this season at Loftus Road. Marked Smith out the game and out jumped him every time. He is under 6 foot (even though Wiki says he is 6 3") but has a Paul Parker style leap on him. Very impressive but again not sure we can afford him. [Post edited 14 Jun 2018 13:30]
