Oh it's complicated now.
Your previous statement.
"leave without being able to use the pound. "
Sounded simple and unequivocal.
As I understand it one needs to distinguish a formal currency union from 'sterlingisation' (meaning informal use of the currency). The first is unlikely to be possible, while the second may be but at a heavy cost in terms of space for autonomous economic policy.

Another backward thinking, insular poster I see.
We'll see. It would be sad if it did. For us all!
Backward thinking? That a nation could win the right to determine its own future... I bet you voted Brexit? For the removal of substantial amounts of investment in your own area... And to hand power for Wales to Boris Johnson and Theresa May?

Oh do shut up. Please.
My thoughts exactly.
The Scots voted to remain 2 years ago and from what I can see, nothing substantive has changed, no matter what Nicola Sturgeon might say. I'm also not clear as to how she can confidently proclaim independence, when such their own involve permission from the London Parliament, just to hold a vote.
EDIT (and having checked) apparently the Scots can organize their own referendum (from what I've found online). In which case, get on with it and see if you get a different answer. If the conclusion matches the last one received however, then that ought to be the last word for a generation and the SNP's embarrassment would be immense.
